2524 disable Auto-MDIX

Using the same CLI commands to disable Auto-MDIX on my 5308 (interface ethernet all mdix-mode mdi) does not work on my 2524. From what I gather, the only way to disable it is to disable Auto on the whole port which affects speed and duplex as well.

Am I right or am I missing something?

Oh, and I presume the same holds true for the 2848?

On the 2500 series auto-MDIX cannot be disabled.
On the 2800 series it can (with the latest firmware (I.08.55)).

Yes, I just DL'd 8.55 last night and found that they added the feature.
