2600, 2800 and series : getting SFP Part and serial number

Hello,

I would like to collect part and serial number of the SFP optics we have in our various switchs (2600, 2510 and 2810 series).

Is there a way from the CLI or other means ?
I read about the 'show module' command but this exists apparently only on higher ends switches.

"show tech" doesn't show it.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Hello,

"show tech transc" is just what I needed !

Tanks a lot.

Stupid me, I didn't imagine that "sh tech" has more options.

Re: 2600, 2800 and series : getting SFP Part and serial number

FYI the serial number collected from 'sh tech trans' is a 7 digit HP internal serial number from the GBIC. The 10 digit serial number (usually starts with 'MY') is what's needed if you contact ProCurve support. The only what that I know of to get that serial number is to look at the label on the transceiver.
