2848 VLAN/routing

I currently have an old Netopia switch routing 3 networks. Since one of my switches is a 2848 (the other two are layer 2 switches) that supports routing I thought of having it do the routing via VLANs instead. The 2848 address is 192.10.200.81. The other two networks are 192.9.200.x and 192.11.200.x. The internet router is 192.10.200.254. I setup 2 VLANs in addition to the DEFAULT VLAN with IP addresses of 192.9.200.81 and 192.11.200.81 on ports 33 and 35 of the 2848. From the 2848s command line I enabled routing. From what I read, the routes between the VLANs should have automatically been setup when the VLANs were created? This doesn't seem to have happened. I cannot ping addresses from one VLAN to another and the two new VLANs cannot access the internet. Thanks.

Hi Jim,

check the subnetmask, check the default gateway; the internet router needs two route entries back to your new subnets.
