Hi,
In order to get this issue resolved I went through HP's support group. They did a lot of testing and the solution that they gave me was basically to just configure the switch to stop reporting this log message. In order to make things line up you would have to set the vlan ID of untagged packets to be the same on the phone as it is on the switch. I don't know what type of phones you use but in our case we did not know (couldn't find out how) to do this. If you want the troubleshooting thread from HP then send me an email to

(no spaces and . before the com domain) and i will forward you the emails.
