3Com 4800G and procuvre 2610 Vlan setup

I replacing my procure 2910al with a Com 4800G.

I am just getting to grips with the command line of the 3 Com and I need to configure it to do the following.

I am up linking 5 procuvre 2610 with two vlans

data

voice

voice vlan is on 172.16.17.0/24

data vlan is on 192.168.2.0/24

PC are plugged into the Phones and pick up DHCP accordingly .

The voice vlan is tagged and the data vlan is untagged the trunk ports are tagged.

I have tried to do the same on the 3 com but when I tagged the trk port on the procurve vlan everything stops working.

has any one got any sample configuration for HP to 3com vlans

Also my DHCP server is going into the 3com and I cannot get the traffic from the 3com to the HP

Can you provide the relevant config from both sides of the 3Com and ProCurve?

The ports on the 3Coms that are part of link-aggregation should probably not be stp edged-port enable

Re: 3Com 4800G and procuvre 2610 Vlan setup

The Challenge I have is I have a Mitel 3300 plugged into both 3 coms and the phones plugged into procurve poe switches.
I cannot seem to get the Mitel traffic to the Procurves.
I untagged the ports on vlan 4 which is the voice vlan.

Re: 3Com 4800G and procuvre 2610 Vlan setup

I am going about this the wrong way as I am trying to mirror the config from the procurves to a 3com
