5308 console port and modem use

Does anyone know if you can attach a modem to the 5308's console port for remote management? If so, any particulars on how it's done would be appreciated.

Well I am familar with the cosole port settings on the switch, but this does not address my inital question. I.E. any special init string on the external modem, etc,etc. Anymore advice? Has anyone done this?

I haven't done this on 53xx series, but on some other models it works ok. You need to setup the modem first on a pc to auto answer with at commands, probably fix the serial speed to specified speed. Then just go ahead and dial into the modem. I've done with normal analogic and gsm modems.
