I have 2 switches I want to trunk or Mesh together for redunancy and speed. Since only have 2 switches, what is my best option - MESH or TRUNK? I want to turn 4 1GB links. Thank you for your input!

Solution
HP ProCurve Mesh is cool: over rides SPT/RSTP/MSTP, can mix speeds, but only works on a few ProCurve switches....and major but - you cannot have routing and mesh enabled on the same switch concurrently.
So if one of these switches needs to be a router, it cannot also be configured to mesh.
Trunk (I prefer LACP configured trunk type), is 1 step more in config, and you "should" keep the links at the same speed.
Your choice...

Re: 5308XL and 5406zl
Hello Darren,
I would prefer a trunk. Put the four 1 GbE interfaces to one static trunkt, don't use LACP for inter-switch trunks.
Regards,
Patrick
