5308xl--port-security question
I have a 5308xl connected to a 4104gl.
I want to prevent anyone disconnecting the backbone from the remote switch, connecting a host, and accessing my network. Therefore, I would want the my 5308xl port to disable if a device other than the 4108gl was connected directly.
Will the port-security command allow me to do this?
I am trying to figure out the complete syntax, and if this is the correct approach.

Re: 5308xl--port-security question
It does appear that it will work. Set up the 5308 as the authenticator and the 4108 as supplicant.
On Both switches:
Steps 1 -4 on page 6-11 in the security guide.
Then 5308 Step 1, 3 & 6 on page 6-12 7 on 6-13.
On the 4108 Do page 6-36.
