8212zl Natting

Morning all,

I am trying to set up natting on a 8212zl HP switch..basically

Users come from a site with address 10.250.x.x and connect to a network 10.254.x.x...thats all good. Now I need to send them to a network 10.180.x.x from the 10.254.x.x (HP Switch where I want to set up the natting) which is only accessible from machines within the same range...hence the natting.

Hope this all makes sense. Please have mercy, only been using these HP switches for a month or so.

Cheers

Re: 8212zl Natting

Hi,

The 8212zl doesn't do NAT so you're stuck there I'm afraid. What is it that restricts access to the 10.180.x.x network (ACL, firewall etc.)?

Re: 8212zl Natting

Its one of my remote sites which comes into the main network and then gets redirected to a client site. Unfortunately th client site only accepts connections from a specific subnetand they are unwilling to add additional subnets.

Other options open to me is to use the firewall, but the idea of using my firewall for routing does not sit well with me.

Thanks for the reply.
