8212zl placement of Modules
Hi
We bought a new 8212zl that will be our new core switch. Does it matter where I place the modules regarding performance? For redundancy we have all modules at least twice so for example if i put one of the 8 port 10Gb SFP Module in Slot A and the other in B or is it better I put the second into G.
By the way what are this build in modules FM1 and FM2 for?
Thanks for your help
Patrick

Re: 8212zl placement of Modules
I asked support and they told me it doesn't matter but it is importand to know how much Power supplies must be installed. We ordered only 2 as told by the sales... but this isn't enough. If one goes down the lower modules (G-L) will be shutdown as well!

So I will buy 2 more PS and then all is fine...
