9304 Routing Switch

We are designing a new network based around 4108GL core switches and all the IDF's are using 2650/2626 switches.
The old network had all the intel IDF's plugged into the 9304 Routing switch. Our new design has all the 2650 IDFs plugging into the 9304 switch. The 9304 is then plugged into the 4108 Core. Is there a reason to still use the 9304 switch?

Thanks.

Re: 9304 Routing Switch

The 9300 is a lot more capable than the 4100. I'd stick with that (although as they start to age and are out of warranty, it's a tough call). If were you to get rid of the 9300 I'd want to replace it with a 5400/8200. Move the 4100 closer to edge of the network if possible.
