A3724A management

Hi,

I'm not sure where to post for this problem.

I have an A3724A FC hub to connect an HP server to its FC10 disks arrays. On the front panel, there is an RS232 connector, that I have used to set up an IP for this server. I'd like to now wether there is an interface I can use with this IP, or if it is only used to send SNMP traps.

Regards,

Fred

Re: A3724A management

About all you can do with the IP address appears to be Ping and SNMP. No mention of telnet in the manual and I am sure it can't be used like a DL100. Seems you are supposed to use the Fibre Channel Manager software to talk to it (no doubt through SNMP) per the manual at

Re: A3724A management

Thanks, Ron. I was dreaming of a pretty http interface, like some exist for ethernet switches were you see stats for each ports, and so on...

I discovered recently that those hubs can be managed by EMS. I have configured, and wait for results.
