Bogous up-time counters
Starting with the latest models, HP ProCurve switches now report wrong uptime. I.e. the counter turns over. This results in erroneous reboot messages on my trap receiver.
My guess is that they have used 32 bits counters instead of 64 bits or maybe counts milliseconds. Thus, when the switch has been up for about 49 days, 17 hours, 2 minutes and 48 seconds, it will report 0 uptime.

Re: Bogous up-time counters
Yep, this has been an issue on a few of the new edge switches. Which product are you talking about specifically and what firmware?

Re: Bogous up-time counters
I have seen it at least on 2510 and 2810. The last time was on 2810-24G running N.11.09. But I have also seen it on 2510-24 (Q.10.01). I have one with 47 days uptime now..
