Broadcast Control

Hello,

I have a 3com SuperStack 3 Switch 4500 26 Port Switch.  (3CR17561-91) that I need assistance with.  I am trying to STOP all broadcasts from passing through a port.

I am sending UDP data to a device that absolutely cannot tolerate any broadcasts.    Should I set up a VLAN routing the traffic to a specific port?  And then how do I get the switch to protect that port from broadcasts?

Also, is there a way on this switch to get data to pass through the VLAN without it being tagged as VLAN data from another switch?  I was having issues with getting this to work.

Thank you in advance for any insight you may be able to offer.
