Broadcast Limiting
We had a broadcast storm on our network this morning, which ground pretty much the whole network to a halt.
I managed to track down where it started and I want to turn on Broadcast-Limiting on the 2650 the client resides on.
Does anyone have an opinion on what level the broadcast limit should be set at?
I know that the limit is a percentage of the total traffic on the port for a 1 second interval and the switch requires a reboot for it to take effect.
Please help.......

Re: Broadcast Limiting
I use the following command on my 2650 devices
broadcast-limit 20
It works quite well, limiting broadcast under 20% of bandwidth.

Re: Broadcast Limiting
Thanks, I had 30% in mind. Do you have any problems with DHCP? I thought having a low percentage of total traffic might stop DHCP from working properly when there are only broadcasts going over the link.
