Brocade SAN Switch question

Our SAN switch ethernet port was set to AUTO and as a result it did not properly negotiate a connection. I've run ifmodeset and hard coded to 100/full (I've run ifmodeshow to confirm). When I run configshow it displays

ether.link.mode:AUTO

Does this mean that if the switch were to reboot that it would return back to Auto?
