CGESM Cisco Blade switches

hi

We have recently install a pair of these , which are multicast enable, however the server guy's are saying that there are loosing multicast data.

IP IGMP snooping is enable, we can also see IP IGMP Snooping querier router

But when we debug IP IGMP Snooping we see the
following

01:22:18: IGMPSN: router: Received non igmp pak on Vlan 232, port Gi0/19

model and software version below

Switch Ports Model SW Version SW Image
------ ----- ----- ---------- ----------
* 1 24 371098-001 12.2(25)SED CGESM-LANBASE-M

any body seen this message before, cant find anything on cisco or HP sites

thanks in advance

Nick

Re: CGESM Cisco Blade switches

Hi Nick
I think you have no problem with the IGMP snooping Group, and the debug message from the router, so if you can show us the output of the (show ip igmp interface vlan 232)

Or

turn on debug on the Querier and watch the output, and probably you will get the error.

Good Luck!

Re: CGESM Cisco Blade switches

these switches dont have that igmp command only, which show the correct

SWBL27A-HP-GbE2-199BSG#sho ip igmp snooping querier
Vlan IP Address IGMP Version Port
-------------------------------------------------------------
232 10.8.232.1 v2 Gi0/19

and debuging on just querier, produces no msg's at all

but doing debug ip igmp snooping we get

where you can see the server joining the multicast groups,

showing the IGMP groups from the router looks correct
