CRC problemson HPPC 2824 between 2824 and Enterasys 8600 SSR router.
The 2824 is connected with a Enterasys SSR routs over a 1Gb link (Fibre Optic). The 2824 announce CRC error, the SSR no announce errors. Speed and duplex mode are firmly adjusted to both sides (1000,fullduplex). The cables, ports and the GBICS were already exchanged. On that SSR runs the version 9.1.9.4 and on that 2824 the version 8.71. Spanning Tree minutes RSTP.

Hi
Did you try to set the uplink port to Auto on the ProCurve 2800 side?
Excessive CRCs may be caused by duplex mismatches, so it means a bad negotiation.
Good Luck !!!

Hi Mohieddin
Yes, It also the same with "Auto" for Speed and Duplex on both sides.
Are CRC error's possible with RSTP on 2824 and STP on SSR?
The setting on 2824 for the parameter "MCHECK" is Yes.
