Can not start PCM+ manager after upgrade

After upgrading PCM+ from 3.10.01 to 3.10.02 i can not start PCM manager and i have this message : "An error has occured retrieving custom group data from server !
the client must be restarted. If problem persist, please contact your HP support representative."


any idea.

How can i resolve the problem if i have not backup image of my PCM.

got procurve directory on the drive where you installed pcm and remove the custom group folder

I have not folder named custom group in drive where i install PCM.
can you give me the full path of custom group folder ?

Abbad: while you explore the suggestions from Shadow, can you also get this information back:

a) Had you created any custom group's in your 3.10.01 (version before the migration?).
b) How many devices did you have that were managed by PCM?
c) Can you send the log file CS-Tree.log from \client\logs folder?
= where you have installed the PCM

These might help get some idea about the problem...

a quick check to figure out if the PCM client system got corrputed after install

Try accesing PCM from a different machine than where the PCM server is installed i.e remote PCM client. You need to download the PCM client installable by pointing your browser to http://:8040

Let know if you are seeing the problem here as well?

If there is no issues in the remote client, then it confirms that the 'local client' has got corrupted and needs rectification...

please ensure that you start the PCM client in administrator mode. This should prevent this error message.
