Cannot add a static binding for DHCP server
Hello,
I recently bought HPE MSR2003 for an office router.
I created a DHCP pool and tried to enter static bindings. I used the web browser and the console interface and the result is the same. Both are not accepting a MAC address (00-04-13-31-A9-36). I tried writing it with : instead of - and the result was the same. I cannot execute the command. I also tried other MAC addresses without luck.
The command I used in the CLI was:
static-bind ip-address 192.168.0.20 hardware-address 00-04-13-31-A9-36
and it gives
wrong parameter found at ^ (pointing to the mac address)
With the web interface the result was the same, it was not accepting the MAC address.
Could this be a bug in the firmware?
Best regards,
Dobrin

Re: Cannot add a static binding for DHCP server
I found the solution on my own.
The correct format for the MAC address was: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX
