Change SNMP Ports used by HP ProCurve Manger Plus

Hi

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the ports used by HP ProCurve Manger Plus to communicate with the switches?

Is there a registry key or can I change something in a ini-file or something?

If i start a scan of a switch, there are used a lot of different ports. The problem is, that we have a firewall between the management station and some of the switches.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Change SNMP Ports used by HP ProCurve Manger Plus

Rene,
Generally you will not be able to change the TCP/IP port of the SNMP servers running on the HP switches. You will have to tune-up your firewall to allow SNMP traffic on standard SNMP ports (161 tcp/udp; 162 tcp/udp for SNMP traps).

Changing the ports in PCM+ (I don't know if this is even possible in PCM+) will cut SNMP communications with the switches, since these switches only listen to tcp/udp 161 and send traps only using 162 tcp/udp.
