Compatibility between ProCurve E2810 and E2910al (no PoE)
Hi,
i must connect two offices that are in differenent buildings with a fiber-channel. I need a Layer 3 for routing to the Voice switches and a Layer 2.
Are the ProCurve E2810 and E2910al fully compatible? Is there any compatibility issue?
Sorry for my english.

Re: Compatibility between ProCurve E2810 and E2910al (no PoE)
Hi, you mean probably classic fiber optics connection (not fiber-channel). Both switches have dual personality SFP ports for fiber connection through mini-GBIC transceivers. 2910al is lite L3 with static and RIP routing, 2810 is L2 switch. All is based on standards so there should be no compatibility issues.
