Connecting two switches with one patch panel

Hi everybody,
I have 2 switches and 1 patch panel that i want to connect, is this possible? My patch panel has 48 ports and each switch has 24 ports.
Can someone please explain me how to do it?
Do i have to connect first the 2 switches?

Hi

Connect all the 48 ports on the patch panel, 24 on first switch and 24 on the second, then make an uplink between the 2 switches to each other or to the Core/Aggregator .. or whatever uplink you have.
