DHCP and VLAN - client will not update address

DHCP and VLAN - client will not update address

I have multiple VLANs running across two 2900 ProCurve switches and seven 1800's.

All clients in their respective VLANs are addressed properly and communicate with other clients / servers as needed except one (so far).

This laptop was used in IDF 5 for a while (10.10.5.0/24) without issue, and then the user went back to his office IDF 2 (10.10.2.0/24). We've power cycled the machine multiple times, but the laptop always seems to get an address assigned to IDF 5 which means no connectivity for him.

No reservations configured, and other clients in IDF 2 and 5 are working properly.

For now I've given him a static IP address, and that's working, but I'd like to figure out what the real problem is.

I thought it may be ARP cache related, so I verified the router is set to 300 seconds, and I reconfigured each 2900 to 300 seconds as well. Still no go.

Plenty of addresses left in the IDF 5 scope.

Any thoughts? I'm not sure where to check next.

Thank you.

Resoved by removing the superscope config from my DHCP server.
