Distributed Trunking Restrictions
Hello all!
I'm investigating the use of distributed trunks, interswitch connect.
We currently have two Procurve5400 switches as core and server access. I would like to connect our netapp with a distibuted trunk, i.e 4*1G * 2 links.
Our core switches uses ospf for uplink distribution routers and vrrp for server access.
Can anyone explain the restriction mentioned in the manual...
"IP routing and distributed trunking are mutually exclusive. Routing restrictions with distributed trunking are switch-wide and do not apply to the DT ports only."
/Peter

Re: Distributed Trunking Restrictions
Hi,
this means: if you have enable routing with: ip routing, you can't use dt-trunking.
if your core switches are used for the servers and as router, dt-trunking isn't an option.
