EASE or sFlow?

EASE or sFlow?

Does Procurve switches implement EASE or sFlow? I found no mention of EASE or sFlow in the documentation and only weak mentions of RMON.
If a problem can be fixed, there's nothing to worry. If a problem can't be fixed, worrying ain't gonna help. Bottom line: don't worry.

Re: EASE or sFlow?

Hello Hwee Liang Teo,

Nowadays EASE is officially called 'Extended RMON' or 'XRMON' for short.

Re: EASE or sFlow?

Hello Mr. Teo -

I just realized that I did not fully answer your question.

If you look at the Switch 5300 data sheet at http://www.hp.com/rnd/products/switches/switch5300xlseries/specs.htm you will notice a mention of sflow on it.

Re: EASE or sFlow?

www.sflow.org is a good resource about sflow. You can find a list of sflow capable switches here http://www.sflow.org/products/network.php

P.S. Sory for a slow responce :) :) :)

Re: EASE or sFlow?

According to the manual on PCM+, when setting up Traffic Monitor, if the switch does not support EASE (XRMON) or sFlow, a N/A should display in the Sampler column.
