Enabling sFlow on 4204vl

Hi, I want to capture traffic -sflow information and direct it to a netflow analayzer server.

Can somebody help me in setting this up on the 4204vl switch/router mode

Have enable sflow on my switch and when I run Show sflow destination got this
ProCurve Switch 4204vl# show sflow destination
sflow : Enabled
Datagrams Sent : 0
Destination Address : 192.168.0.5
Receiver Port : 9996
Owner : scrut
Timeout (seconds) : 99911590
Max Datagram Size : 1400
Datagram Version Support : 5

However, on my netflow server I still havent got any thing

It's got datagrams sent set at 0. Have you enabled sampling on any interfaces?

What does "show sflow sampling" say?

OK, looks like you don't have any interfaces with sampling enabled: there is a sample script that should do this for you.

I believe netflow also include something similar with their product.

You can use setmib from the command line to issue the SNMP sets that the script would.

Unfortunately, there isn't much friendly command line support for sflow - HP expects your network monitoring tool to do it for itself, I think.
