Error on HP Procurve 2650

Hi!

I have truble.
I'd like use port #50 on my 2650. I insert into it the SFP tranciver, and switch start show error.
In log i find next record:
W 02/07/90 00:20:26 chassis: Port 50 Selftest Failure

What i'm doing to fix it?

It looks like the mini GBIC is faulty, or the port is faulty.
Have you tried using the mini GBIC in port 49? If so, what were the results?
If you get a port 49 selftest failure, then the mini GBIC is faulty. If you don't get that failure, then port 50 on the switch is faulty.

Also make sure you run the latest firmware on the 2650.

I'v tested this mini-GIBIC, it work perfect on other switch.
But shuld I use on switch HP ProCurve 2650 tranciver HP J4858B or I can use elce enyone.

Enybody knows compatibility matrix for ProCurve 2650 and trancivers module.

Here you find all mini GBIC's that are currently available for the 2650. Note that they end on "B". The older "A" versions work also.
If the mini GBIC works on another switch, have you tried using another mini GBIC in the "faulty" switch on port 50?
If that one also gives an error, call support and get the switch swapped.
