Errors on switches ?
I have a network with the following HP-switches:
4108gl
6108
2524
2626-PWR
2650
1708
2600-8-PWR
The 4108gl is connected to the 2650 with 3 cables, each carrying a VLAN (called 211,213,214).
The 2650 switch have a lot of errors; below is a resume:
Port 50 Tagged 211->4108gl A2
Excessive CRC/alignment errors
Excessive broadcasts
Excessive jabbering
Port 49 Tagged 214->4180gl A5
Excessive broadcasts
Port 48 Tagged 213->4108gl A6
Excessive broadcasts
Port 45 Untagged 213
Excessive broadcasts
Port 43 Untagged 213
Excessive broadcasts
Port 34 Untagged 211
Excessive broadcasts
Port 29 Untagged 211
Excessive broadcasts
Port 18 Untagged 211
Excessive CRC/alignment errors
Excessive broadcasts
Port 12 Untagged 211
Excessive broadcasts
Port 4 Untagged 211
Excessive CRC/alignment errors
Excessive broadcasts
Port 1 Untagged 211
Excessive CRC/alignment errors
Excessive broadcasts
I have tried to set the speed of the link between the port 50 on 2605 and port A2 on 4108gl to 100Full, changed the cable, and chekked the config in general, but nothing have helped and I cant find out what is causing the error.
The errors come in the morning, when the clients boot, and during the day, dont know if the clients restart.
The clients are all running Windows XP.
Can anyone give me a clue on what to look at?
