G07.50 firmware selftest failure with Intel Pro/1000T

Hello,
this seems like a bug in the new firmware G07.50
for gl series Procurve switches.

After rebooting one 4108gl or removing and inserting gigabit module J4863A one of our Windows 2003 servers did loose it's network connectivity and there's this msg in the log:

W 01/19/04 17:16:13 chassis: Port G5 Selftest Failure

Port G5 remained in error state, but it started working again after reboot. W2k3 server worked fine after moving it to some other gigabit port on the same module, and also if that server's cable was unplugged from the switch when switch module was removed and inserted. That is our only server with old Intel Pro/1000T ethernet card, so apparently new gl firmware is doing something funny during boot time self test that previous firmwares didn't.

Hello Ari -

This appears to be an appropriate issue for a trouble call with the H-P Customer Care Center.
