GBIC LX with HP SAN fibre 4/32

Hi,

I'm new to this so excuse my ignorance.
I've been asked does the HP SAN fibre switch 4/32 support the GBIC LX module.

Can anyone tell me?

Re: GBIC LX with HP SAN fibre 4/32

Howdy,
The 4/32 is a OEM Brocade (HP B-series) SAN switch and I don't see any mention of a GBIC LX module in the quickspecs??

The SX and LX notation is not generally used in SAN configurations and you certainly can't run ethernet/IP over any of the transceivers that can be plugged into this SAN switch?

Hope this helps
Kind regards
Ian

PS - There is a SAN sub-forum under the Storage Forum for this type of discussion.

Hope that helps - please click "Thumbs up" for Kudos if it does
