GbE2c Ethernet Blade Switch Administrative Interface Hang
Hi there.
We have here a C7000 Blade with 2 GbE2c Ethernet Blade Switch for some reason one of the switches it was hanging.
With hanging I mean it could not be access remotely by http, telnet or ssh.
Both switches were using the firmware version 1.1.0 so we decide to go ahead and do an upgrade to 5.2.7, we did this on the erratic switch and leave it from one week (the problem arise after hours of been reseated) and everything just went OK.
After that week with the same upgrade to the another switch, that was last Saturday (02/11/2012), today both switches are hanged.
So what is happening?, how can I troubleshoot?, what can be done?
Best regards

Re: GbE2c Ethernet Blade Switch Administrative Interface Hang
We had this a few times at different customers. As far as I know, reseating the module did the trick in those cases. (take the GbE2c out of the chassis and insert it again after a minute or so)
btw - if I recall correctly, after some time in the 'hanging state' in two cases the customer also started to experience strange behaviour that looked like corrupted CAM-tables. At other occurences it was just the managemt to the switch that was impacted.
