Great Problem, how can i solve?

Hi friend, i have a problem, i would like to specify, two vlan in my HP switch. One of this VLAN is the voice VLAN where i must connect my IPPHONE and the other is the default vlan. In Cisco switch there is the possibility to specify the voice vlan and when i connect a phone it know in what vlan it must be placed automatically. There is the same feature on HP switch? For example a HP2650? if yes how can i do it?

Hi

On the 2600 its the hard way :)

So you manually create a Voice Vlan, and you Manually assign ports for IP Phones to be in this Vlan.

Dynamic Vlans assignment can be done in other ways like 802.1x or by the use of IDM.

Good Luck !!!

I believe if your IP Phones support LLDP-MED you can achieve this. You also need to set the 'voice' vlan type on the switch.
