HP 2524 VLAN Documentation tool
Hi. We have here six 2525 HP Procurve switchs and they are configured handling for 11 vlans.
Is there any good tool for creating documentation about ports/vlans? I am getting very mixed up with these..
I can read port/vlan configuration from telnet session but that is not very nice way - and i would have to create documentation for colleagues also.
Thanks,
Mikko

Re: HP 2524 VLAN Documentation tool
Hi Mikko,
We use Visio to document our network env.(It is Micro$oft nowadays) It is not automated. so you need to generate it yourself but you can download visio pics at the HP site that represent your switches.
HTH,
Gideon

Re: HP 2524 VLAN Documentation tool
I'm also user of M$ Visio and that is pretty tool for drawing network documents. Anyhow i would like to "download" vlan/port configuration from switch and then edit it and add to network documents.
I was just wondering is there any tool like described in HP TopTools?

Re: HP 2524 VLAN Documentation tool
Not sure if this is what you are looking for but HP ProCurve Manager has a VLAN tool, and you can generate reports.
