HP 2610 + Vlan's - mitel 3300 - routing issue
Hi
Firstly i'm not very up on Vlan setups sorry, i hope you can help.
we have our pc's plugging into the back of the phones which link to the 2610. That all works fine.
The setup is
data network 192.168.200.x
voice is 192.168.201.x
on the switch ports
port 1 has a pc plugged into it JUST to access the voice network (will explain more later)
port 47 is a RACE line
port 48 is the mitel 3300
port 49 is a data link to a data switch
port 50 is our firewall/gateway
port 51 is a fibre link to a 2510 the other side of our warehouse.
our firewall ip is 200.1
our mitel ip is 201.1
The problem is none of the pc's plugged into the phones can see the mitel 3300 so we have had to put a single pc on a untagged port to see the 201.x range.
all i want to do is make it so any pc plugged into the phone can see the 201.x range too

Re: HP 2610 + Vlan's - mitel 3300 - routing issue
Hi,
The issue is that your voice network does not have a gateway so anything on that network cannot communicate with anything on a different subnet.
That's fine for the phones but not if you want to see your controller from a different subnet.
Add an IP address to the switch on vlan 2 (192.168.201.2 for example) and set that as the default gateway on the Mitel controller.
