HP 5412 + Cisco IP phones 7941

Hi

Iam trying to configure Cisco 7941G and Call Manager on HP 5412 switch with firmware 13.49. Th phone is able to get Power , DHCP i.p address etc. All the devices are in Single Vlan. But the phone keeps saying "Registering". Where could be the problem

Title IP Phone 7941G does not register with the Cisco CallManager 4.x and in the Find and List Phones Window, status is shown as "Unknown" and "Registering" is displayed in the IP Phone
Resolution

The 7941G/7961G IP phones need to be added as 7941/7961 in Cisco CallManager Admin in order to add the IP phone page, not the Phone Type as 7941G-GE. This also applies to 7960G/7940G in order for it to be added. Option 7941G-GE stands for a specific the IP phone model. Refer to Cisco Unified IP Phone 7941G-GE for more information.

Thanks Team. More inputs from me to help

1 ) I have added 7941G phone as 7941 only in CM 7.0.1
2 ) The phone gets power , network details
3 ) Auto register is enabled in the CM

Still the phone is not getting registered to CM.

Is there any specific configuration to be done on Procurve or the problem is with CM.

you say
all device are in sinle vlan
so same network subent all device (cisco call manager,ip phone,pc,servers)

no need any special config on 5412 switch
ip phone must register directly cisco call manager

cisco ip phone support cdp protocol
can you see with sh cdp neighbor command on hp switch cisco ip phone

Thanks Team. Hope some problem in CM as suddenly it started working. No idea which solves it my CM engineer says no change at his side. Anyway the problem is solved.
