HP 6108 Procurve Switch

When I try to telnet to my switch, I get "Sorry, the maximum number of telnet sessions are active. Try again later."

I have logged into it more than twice and believe this is the reason.

How can I disconnect these sessions and telnet to my switch?

Either log into the switch via serial console and use the 'kill' command, or reboot the switch. Finally use the 'console inactivity-timer' command to prevent this happening again in the future.

Re: HP 6108 Procurve Switch

Hi

One of the common best practices that everyone should have in ProCurve switches is the Console inactivity timer.

I advice you to enable Console inactivity timer as Matt suggested, and also enable Console baud rate:

Switch(config)#console inactivity-timer 15 Switch(config)#console baud-rate 9600

Good Luck !!!
