HP 8108fl and IP addresses with overlapping network mask

Is it possible to assign IP addresses with overlapping network mask to VLANs/Ports on a HP 8108fl?

For example:
vlan 4
ip address 10.1.4.0 255.255.0.0
vlan 16
ip address 10.1.16.0 255.255.0.0

I need this on a period of migration from large flat network to the network with routed VLANs.

A little correction to a previous message

For example:
vlan 4
ip address 10.1.4.0 255.255.0.0
vlan 16
ip address 10.1.16.0 255.255.255.240

No. This is not possible.
Overlapping addresses are only supported on "VRF Light" aware switches (VRF Light is a Cisco term). This is service provider technology.
