HP NC522SFP 10GbE NIC - What's difference between the nx3 and p3p drivers?

The question pretty much sums it up. On the drivers and downloads page for the NC522SFP NIC it lists two drivers, one labelled as a P3P driver, the other as an nx3 driver. Is there any functional difference between the two?

So what is the difference between the HP NC-Series QLogic P3P Multifunction Driver and the HP NC-Series QLogic nx3 Multifunction Driver? We have NC375i NICs and according to HP's release notes both of these drivers support this NIC adapter. The question is what is the difference between the two?
