HP NIC Teaming, MS Cluster, and Cisco 3020

What are the best practices and things to not do when trying to team 4 nics of a BL860c across 2 Cisco 3020 switches in a C7000 enclosure?

I am trying to find docs but am unable.

For example, can you team across switches? Can you team the MS Cluster? Can you team over interconnects?

Re: HP NIC Teaming, MS Cluster, and Cisco 3020

can you team across switches? => no
Can you team the MS Cluster? => yes
Can you team over interconnects? => yes (I assume you mean cluster interconnect?)
in short : you create two teams each team connected to a different switch and both links from the same team connected to the same switch.

basically the layout of the backplane of the chassis allready distrubutes links from each blade to both switches (see attachment)

there are several documents that may help you :
- blade 3020 switch design_guide_c07-468192.pdf
- C-Class blades Architecture.pdf
- Deploying the ProLiant BL p-Class GbE2 Interconnect Switch into a Cisco-based Network.pdf

Re: HP NIC Teaming, MS Cluster, and Cisco 3020

Thanks! The link below does not seem to work for me. Any other ones I can try to get the attachments?

More specifically, Can you Team a BL860c in a C7000 enclosure across 2 Cisco 3020s?

Meaning can I team NIC 1 and 2 where NIC 1 comes from 1 3020 and NIC 2 comes from another 3020?

Thanks again!
