I just updated the PCM with the latest patch and i started to get this message first login :
an error has occurred retrieving custom group from the server. The client must be restarted. i had restarted the server but still getting the same message.

this could occur possibly due to connectivity issues between client and server.

Can you try this sequence
a) Stop PCM Database service, PCM Server service, PCM Client
b)Start PCM Database service, PCM Server service and launch PCM client again?

Some followup Q's:
a) Do you get this when launching the PCM client from same machine as PCM server(local client) or from a remote client.
b) Before the update did you have custom group's created? IF so how many devices did each contain ( count )?

had to restore a previous backup image and deleted the custom folder before install the new patch and it work fine.

I have not backup image of PCM. How can i resolve the problem.
