HP Procurve 5300XL port mirroring

I wished to do packet sniffing for traffic to a unix server and thus need to do port mirroring. The server is connected to the 5300XL switch via 2 ports.

Lets say the server is connected to port 1 and 2 and i wish to mirror whatever frames that is going to port 1 to port 10 and port 2 to port 11

ie. port 1 to port 10,
port 2 to port 11

How do I go about doing that if i wanna ingress and egress traffic to be monitored.

Just bring up the WebAgent, go to the Configuration tab, Monitor Port, and follow your nose.

You can only have one monitor port as far as I remember.

You can, however, capture the traffic from multiple ports on the single mirror port.

Is the 5300 port mirroring limited to "ingress only" monitoring like the 4100 series are?

The 530x does not suffer that limitation.
