HP WL420's

Okay - so my manager asked this morning "I was at Brainshare 2003, and there were tons of users on the wireless network, and it was fast. How come our wireless implementation gets terrible speeds with more than 10-15 users?"

I had the same question lingering, mainly because the 420 is advertised as 'up to 128 users!' -- what info do I need to provide? We'd really like to solve this.

Re: HP WL420's

Run several network traces simultaneously at different points and run some tests. Export the trace results to Excel, aligning them on a particular packet and then analyze the results. The problem should jump right off the page.

Re: HP WL420's

Les, could you elaborate a bit more on how you'd set this up?

Like set several wireless workstations to do a tracert to...somewhere?

Re: HP WL420's

The response sounded similar to Novell's TID 10017057 - whos resolution is

"To resolve the problem, troubleshoot any errors you find and resolve them and the errors will go away."

That doesn't exactly answer my question :-)
