HP to Cisco Switch Trunk Configuration

Hi,
I have some HP procurve Switches(2650, 5304 etc) which I wanted to connect to some Cisco Switches. I am going for some VLANs those I wanted to flow in between the HP and cisco switches. I know the cisco part but do not know about the hp. My needs are as follows:
1. How to configure a trunk port in HP?
2. How to enable dot1q in HP switch?
3. In any chance, hp will support Cisco vtp protocol? as cdp is supporting by hp as fdp, like that.

Thanks

Jay

Re: HP to Cisco Switch Trunk Configuration

Jay,

What you want to look for in the HP switches is indeed VLAN and then tagging. Basically tagging the VLAN is compareable with the Cisco Trunking. For vtp check GVRP.

Also a good document on GVRP is:

http://www.hp.com/rnd/support/config_examples/gvrp_use.pdf
