HP virtual connect flexFabric 10gb/24-port module and cisco 9140
We are setting up a c7000 blade chassis. We have flex10 in bay 1 and 2. In port 1 of the flex 10 module I have a HP A74468 4GB sw sfp installed. We are running fibre to a cisco 9140 switch that has a DS.sfp-fc 2G-sw installed in the port. We do not get link. The port on the flex 10 flashes green 1x. We get no indication of link on the cisco. We get an error on the cisco that states too many invalid flogis.
We need to connect to our current EVA to be able to access the data on our current EVA from the new c7000.
thanks
Rick

Re: HP virtual connect flexFabric 10gb/24-port module and cisco 9140
Hi, in your text you are talking about Flex-10 module, so I'm not sure which modules you actually have there. Flex-10 does not do FC (SAN) at all, it is an ethernet-only module. You have to plug the FC SFPs to an FC-capable module in your chassis.

Re: HP virtual connect flexFabric 10gb/24-port module and cisco 9140
We have HP virtual connect flexfabric 10GB/24-port modules installed on a c7000 blade chassis. Port 1x has 2x 10GB Ethernet or 2/4/8 Gb Fibre Channel connectivity. We have 4GB A7446B sfp's installed. We get no connectivity. NPIV has been enabled and running.
Any Ideas???
Thanks
Rick
