HTTP access for Procurve

hello
i think since installing xp SP2 i can no longer access the http interface of my procurve 4000 switch
i have tired altering the security but no luck..

Neil,
You don't say what symptoms you have or how far you can get.
Did you set a password on the interface?
When you plug the IP in your browser, do you at least get the logon dialog?
Did you add the IP of your PC to the authorized list?
Did you verify the the web interface is not disabled?
Can you access from another PC?

While I don't have a 4000 series switch, I have no problem to access my 53xx, 28xx, and 25xx switches from any of my XP/SP2 systems either with or without the firewall enabled.

hey thanks for your reply..

ok actually we have 2 switches stacked as a master and slave..
i can now access the master no problems but always have a timeout from the slave with the following message :

500 timeout error

Sorry, none of my new HP switches are stacked and I don't have any experience with the 4000 but from what I read about it:
"Stacking capability: single IP address management for a virtual stack of up to 16 switches"
