The distance exceeds 100m from our server.
I was thinking of placing a HP Procurve switch between the servers and the new computer labs/computers (to extend the range), in the computer labs I would also place HP Procurve switches that connect to the middle switch which in turn connects to the main server switch, sort of like the diagram below.
Does this make sense?

if this isnt possible trunk up as few ports to the middle switch and try run another link between the two IDFs and use spanning tree in case the link to one of the rooms gets cut
