How to clear HP switch interface statistic counters.
Hi,
On HP switches, I tried command " clear statistic B1(interface #)". Then did show interface B1, the counts back to zero. But if I login with a new session and check the same port, the count # will be back.
Can not we clear interface counts at hp switch?
what is the correct way to perform it? If the count# could not clear, it is a confusion at problem determination. Please help.
THank you,
June Hu

Re: How to clear HP switch interface statistic counters.
Hello June!
Funny that you should ask this right now, since I just some hour ago posted again in this older thread:

The answer is unfortunaly no, unless using the latest software releases for the Provision Asic family (3500, 6200, 5400 and 8212). Perhaps it will also be fixed for other switch models too soon.
