How to connect to an HP Procurve managed switch?

There's this company that I will be doing work for that uses an HP Procurve managed switch as their backbone. I did not catch witch model.

But typically, how does one connect to that kind of switch to perform configuration changes?

Is it similar to cisco?

Depending on which model through a 'com' poort or RJ45 interface.
Newer models with RJ45.
