How to get more info on STP issues
Hi,
on our network we sometimes get STP root changes but we don't know why.
We see some things with the "show log" command but not enough.
We think it's caused by another brand of switches but this shouldn't happen.
The "show span" command doesn't give us enough info.
Are there other commands to get more detailed info? A debug log? A more verbose setting?
We have this on 4104 switches but I am interested if there are other commands on newer switches too.
TIA

Re: How to get more info on STP issues
It depends on the model and firmware revision. The easiest thing is to type "show span " and see what the tab completion offers you.
There may be show span detail, for example.
